Comprised of multiple dynamics challenging workforce readiness in urban and rural areas, NWI Works desires to approach each market to understand their challenges and needs, identify their existing programs and services, and collaborate with partners to determine how each market should be uniquely designed to serve its community in workforce development through a combination of Opportunity Hubs and mobile training initiatives.
Currently, two opportunity collaboratives are being developed in Michigan City and East Chicago, Indiana.
Six Northwest, Indiana markets have been assessed with others embarking on identifying locations for potential collaboratives.
